Ahead of the new year, global fashion search platform Lyst ranked fashion’s buzziest brands and products that made waves in 2019 by analyzing the shopping behavior of more than 9 million shoppers a month. Lyst dove into the searching and browsing and purchase patterns of users across 12,000 designers and online stores, also using Google and social media search data to inform findings.
While it’s no surprise that Bottega Veneta’s padded sandals ($790) topped the list as the number one shoe in the world, Adidas’s Continental 80 sneakers were the only other shoe to make the list of the most popular fashion products in 2019.
Searches for the $80 white trainers increased 170 percent in the third quarter, and the fact that Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber and Sofia Richie all sported the shoe on multiple occasions definitely helps.
